Tap @ the Buena Vista. Poured a clear gold with a small white head. Sweet and floral aroma. Sweet malty flavor. Floral hop middle. Mild bitterness with a sweet finish. Touch of sulfur.

On draft at the San Francisco airport. Poured very clear gold with a nice white head. Nose of sweet malts and floral hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor has nice hop bite and finish is nicely bitter. Very decent pilsener.

Tap at San Francisco airport

Pours deep gold with lively carbonation and a frothy head. Aroma is malted honey with a faint hint of floral hops. Flavor is a bit too sour and tangy; seems the hops have gone stale. Palate is not bad. With a little tweakin’, this could be a good brew.

On tap at SFO. A rich golden color with a medium white head. This was darker than the Pils. Aroma seemed to be less than the Pils with only a faint lager yeast scent. Much of the same flavor of the Pils (the two shared the same tap tower- easy to compare). Decent lacing. Medium body and carbonation. Hard for me to discern much of a difference between the two. I’m not convinced this is a different recipe from the pils.

On a business trip to San Francisco I went to the Buena Vista Cafe to get one of their famous irish coffees. The irish coffee was great, but I noticed they had their own brew on tap which I suspected was probably a rebadged version of another local brewery, I emailed them to determine if this was true but recieved no response. I could not resist trying a glass. These ratings are from notes scribbled on a napkin. Dark golden with a dimishing small off white head. Good malt with a dry and hoppy finish. It sure tasted good at the time.
