Commercial Description:
"The bitterest beer in America". Good beer, like true love doesn't last long, so get it while it lasts. This IPA is a double hopped amber colored ale.

Chiliheads love chili, Cokeheads love..er cola and hopheads love that fragrant cone known as humulus lupulus. BBB just forgot that to have beer you need a few more ingredients, like malt, and water. It has a great aroma, good looks but is waaaay out of balance. A good beer to have before you go to bedzzzzzzzzzzz.

Hazy amber/copper w/ extremely big off-white head (poured like a wheat beer). Fresh floral & grapefruit nose w/ some yeast & pepper. Resiny feel, perhaps a little thin. Very big, very bitter beer, though could have used more malt to balance.

Tap. Hazy golden color with an off-white head. Obviously very bitter but also has a good crisp clean hop aroma and flavor.

Dark straw color. Large creamy head. Strong hop aroma. Very full bitterness, although hardly "the bitterest beer in America". Medium body. Not bad.

Tough stuff. I drank this when I was new to the world of beer, and it left a lasting impression. Hoppy and tough. This beer should have tattoos.

Notably appealing aroma. Deep dark brown in color with thick "root beer float" head. Coffee like at first sip changing to a very bitter taste fading finally into a very metallic twinge.

Supposedly, Alimony Ale is the ’bitterest beer of all.’ Unbalanced. I’ll pass.
