| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Beer poors dark with very little head and no lacing on the glass. Aroma is only of the fruit which definately comes through. The bitterness that comes through in the beer is from the dark malts which have an interesting interaction with the blueberry flavor. The overall blueberry flavor comes through as I drink the beer. Overall the beer is OK and would be easy to drink a few. FROTHINGSLOSH (2031), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized brown head. The aroma was sweet blueberry muffin. The flavor was roasty, malty and had a strong blueberry note and a tangy and bitter finish. Interesting. sja14 (106), Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Pours a dark brown/black with a small tan head. Smells of roasted malt with some blueberry. Tastes like a stout with a little hint of blueberry. would have liked a little more body. drjay44 (805), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 22, 2008 12 oz bottle. ABV 7.5% per the bottle. Pours a thin tan head of short duration, good lacing over a dark brown body....nose of roasted malts with a bit of cinnnamon and slight blueberry ...tastes of roasted malts initially then the fruity flavor of blueberry kicks in leaving a sweetish raspberry finish, similar to spruce tip beers...mouth feel is creamy. An interesting experience. jsquire (2113), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 22, 2008 Dark beer with some reddish hints against the light. Short lived brown head. Nose of artificial blueberry syrup, chocolate and stale urine. Some chocolate, but moslty the blueberry. The finish is like a blueberry muffin, that just gets more and more medicinal as it warms. gws57 (1138), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Found this one bottled at Binnys in St. Charles, Illinois. Cloudy, dark reddish-brown pour with a filmy tan head, Strong, fruity nose, a bit of milk chocolate, strawberry, orange and blueberry. Taste itself is very much unlike a stout and more like a blueberry blonde ale, without the typical heaviness, but also without characteristic maltiness or bitterness. Not a bad beer, just a bad stout. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Mother in Law. Blueberries stood out in aroma on the nose. Black with tan head. Blueberry flavor thoughout beer. Also a creamy body texture you will find in a good stout was present. Moderate dry bitterness also. Good brew. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Black, little head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, and blueberry. Chocolate and blueberry would probably work, but the coffee and blueberry is just straight up odd. Flavor matches, and is even stranger than the nose. Not sure if I would have picked the flavor as blueberry or not if I had not been told, I may have just described it as a bizarre, out of place fruit finish. This was not bad, but it was somehow quite far from good as well.
