Bottle. Pours deep ruby brown with a beige head. Blueberry sweetness with a hint of roasted malt. It really makes an odd pair. If you’ve ever used those markers where each color has a different smell, this beer is like the blue marker.

(bottle - 12 oz) Dark brown pour with a very thin off-white head. Aroma smells like fresh baked blueberry muffins. Actual blueberries with some pepper too. Delicious. Flavor is rather sour and spicy at the beginning. The middle has a light peppery blueberry flavor. Finishes crisp and peppery. Not much in the stout flavor and almost no oatmeal. Thin-bodied but tasted good.

Shouldn’t call it a stout on the label, especially not oatmeal stout. Needs more roasted malt to qualify as such. Had it been called a Blueberry Sour Ale, my rating might be higher. Dark brown, minimal tan head, blueberry-dominated nose and flavor, and a rather sour moderately carbonated finish. Decent price though.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown/black, no head, even though I tried hard to make one. Aroma is subdued blueberry and chocolate. Flavor is a sweet blueberry, but very medicinal in nature, some chocolate notes and a touch of roast malt in the background.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Brown/black color with a decent tan head. Strong aroma of blueberry with some coffee. Full bodied with prickly, but nearly creamy, carbonation. Flavor is blueberry, coffee and burnt toast. Rather dry; almost tart. Sure is different.

Pours a dark mahogany with a small tan head. The aroma delicious blueberry and smells almost like something from Hawaiian Tropic with a bit of chocolate thrown in. Flavor is more stout like than the aroma but is still full of blueberry. It also offers chocolate and coffee. There is a nice zest and a prickly zing. Alcohol adds some warming and just a bit of taste. Enjoyable. This is one of those beers that could be a starter for someone interested in craft beers.

Brown-black body with a thick head that rapdily flattens to a thin, ground oreo cookie layer. Roast barley, light chocolate, and blueberry forms a quite pleasant aromatic medley. A bit under-bodied, but an interesting blueberry and roast barley complexity with a pleasant berry-barley slightly dry and tart finish. Crisp, flavorful, with an enjoyable aftertaste of blueberry and light coffee. Redolent of the earthy, Ethiopian Harrar beans. Sour aftertaste grows into the finish of the glass. Unexpectedly strong blueberry alcohol vein.
