Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate, husks), with a strong note of blueberry. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Overwhelming blueberry note, though it’s not exactly unpleasant...just too much. Somewhat grainy/husky in the nose and finish, but not too bad. Overall ok, but there’s not much to it other than the blueberries. Comes off as a novelty beer rather than a well-integrated fruit beer.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of blueberries, light roasted malts, and slight chocolate. Blueberries smell artificial. Poured very dark brown/black/hint of ruby in color with a small, tan head that diminished but lasted around the edges. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. There may be tiny particles throughout, or I may have a messed up glass. Flavor of blueberry, alcohol, roasted malts, astringent, slight tar, bread, cornmeal, slight caramel, and medicine. Blueberries taste artificial. Medium body. Astringent, dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Alcohol-hot, blueberry and slight roast finish is a little bitter.

A: strong blueberry scent, slowly dissolving into more typical chocolate stout backings. Up close, it’s more like a blueberry cola note; pleasant at first, but rather odd over time. Pours flat and cola-colored. Taste is an odd balance of oats, blueberries and bitterness.

Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured clear ruby color with a medium frothy brown head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium berry friut and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium sweet flavor with medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This soft fruity beer met my expectations.

Dark brown pour with a soft light khaki head. Big sweet blueberry nose, like some sort of sweet candy. I thought it was going to be repulsive, but it wasn’t all that bad, but I probably wouldn’t get this again, a bit sweet and far to much blueberry. Soft spiciness to it with a bitter and slightly tart note to the finish.

Heavy blueberry nose. Dark red pour with a tan short-lived head. A muddy mix of tart blueberry and roasted malt that finishes kind of sour. Better than I was expecting but not what I was hoping for.

Bottle. This definitely exceeded the low expectations that I had for a blueberry stout. Dark black with a strong, pleasing blueberry aroma. Fairly good balance between malts and blueberry, but I could have used a tad less blueberry flavor and especially sweetness.

Bottle. Poured black with cafe au lait head. Aroma of blueberries, just blueberries. Flavour is surprisingly balanced. Bluberries, a little spice, some malt. Thin finish, just dtops off the table.
