Pours a dark brown, nearly black body with brown head that vanishes slowly. The aroma is strong blueberries. The flavor is smooth, more like a black fruit beer rather than a stout. Although, there are strong flavours of stories of pat’s grandfather out in the great blueberry fields where he earned himself a holocaust of pain, emploding on the earth. Also notes of roast, smooth sweet oatmeal. Great fruit beer.

I’m a huge Blueberry fan in general and this did not disappoint. Bursting with blueberry and oatmeal flavor. Very dark, not overly sweet.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep black with a mocha web of bubbles on top. Aroma is blueberry but its not overwhelming. This tastes like a quality oatmeal stout; mild roast, a touch of chocolate and a pleasant finish of blueberry.

Bottle... Pours midnight black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is a nice swirl of blueberry, coffee and chocolate. Full-bodied and creamy with prickly carbonation. Sweet, acrid and fruity. Chocolate, blueberry and coffee with decent bitterness. Surprisingly well-done. I’ll be drinking more of this. Underrated, I think.

12 oz bottle. Deep brown with a loose tan head. Nose is bittersweet chocolate, roasty malt and a decent blueberry aroma. Nice bittersweet chocolate flavor with a good, complementary blueberry sweetness. A mild bitterness pops up late, a roasty bite followed by more blueberry in the finish. Excellent sheetlike lace. Really a pleasant drinker. A nice surprise!

Pours a deep brown, almost black color with a beige head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is just what you would expect--some roasted and coffee flavors and lots of blueberries. As strong as the blueberry smell was, I was a little concerned, but the blueberry flavor in the beer was more subtle. In this case, the sweetness of the blueberry was there, but not overpowering. Just enough to do a nice job of complementing the stout beer. Could use a little more chocolate or coffee malt, but still solid. i’m not usually a fan of fruity beers, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this one.

Big blueberry aromas. Flavor is initially roasted malt which gives way to chocolate covered blueberries. Very decent.

Bottle courtesy of Mother in Law. Blueberries stood out in aroma on the nose. Black with tan head. Blueberry flavor thoughout beer. Also a creamy body texture you will find in a good stout was present. Moderate dry bitterness also. Good brew.
