a little spice, very sweet. and of course orangey.
there must be a good use for this, but drinking isn’t one of them
still, better than the popular lite beers ehhdayton (1113), USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 26, 2006 The aroma is strongly of orange and honey, somewhat like an orange tea. The color is a clear golden with a fizzy white head that fades very rapidly. On the palate the tongue is coated with a spritzy feel and the sweetness of the orange comes through very clearly. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of swweet malts, sugar, orange, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet (overly) oragne sherbert -like, sugary, and alcohol. I wasn’t into this beer at all. tcruicks (282), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 24, 2006 A very clear yellow beer with little head and what looks like a lot of carbonation. It certainly smells like orange, and citrusy in general. The orange is a bit overwhelming, even in the scent, but I guess they were going for something that was heavy on the orange. Taste is similar- its not like any beer I’ve had- its like an orange drink with some alcohol in it. Just very sweet, and lots of orange. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 24, 2006 Pours yellow with big bubbles and no head. This looks more like sparkling wine than beer. Upon putting my nose over the glass, I become even less sure that this is in fact beer. Creamsicle. Sweet orange or tangerine. Maybe something a bit floral, but definitely not hops! In the mouth, this is again more like a sparkling wine. Fizzy with more visosity than I thought it would have, but not creamy at all. You can taste the orange/tangerine before this even hits your tongue. Extremely sweet. Not a malty sort of sweet, but a straight up fructose sweet. There’s something of a slight nutty immediate aftertaste, which, unsurprisingly turns into a dull wheat grittiness and then, obviously, citrus, huge overbearing citrus. I won’t be drinking this again. Next time I want alcoholic orange soda, I’ll put some vodka in my Slice. kingfiogojr (78), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 22, 2006 It’s...interesting. Had a bottle at N. Charles Fine Wines in Baltimore. Very much, I think, to be a beer that bridges the gap between chick drinks and beer. It is very citrussy, but not in a hoppy type of way. It literally has orange infused to the beer. It’s, I think, what would happen if screwdrivers and beer cross-bred. All and all, I was not a big fan, I did not really consider orange to be a decent compliment to the beer, but objectively, I cant give this beer a low score, because it certainly is drinkable. Smooth, with a malty creaminess....it’s really just a question of how well Orange goes with beer. IMO it isn’t the greatest combo, but I’m sure that it can appeal to people.
