Jan 1, 2008 12oz bottle. Hazy orange with a large head. Aroma hits you pretty forcefully with pumpkin and spices; it really smells like a pumpkin pie. The flavor has pumpkin and spice as well, but it doesn’t work as well in the flavor as the aroma. The underlying beer needs some more malt and sweetness to really make it work. Medium palate with hard carbonation that is a little harsh. Overall, it isn’t bad, but I’m not really a fan of the approach.

Dec 26, 2007 Pours a hazy deep orange color with minimal fizzy white head. Aroma is caramel and nutmeg, and a hint of pumpkin, but only a tiny bit. Flavor is very light and thin and watery, slight pumpkin nutmeg flavor, but depth isn’t there. Tastes more like a lager with some pumpkin rather than an ale. Still, definitely drinkable especially for non beer loving friends who dabble in the occasional micro.

Dec 15, 2007 Obiviously it has a strong pumpkin and spice aroma. Has a pumpkin/amber color. It definately has a pumpkin and malt flavor to it. It’s a neat, festive beer for one beer, but can’t drink more than one, too much pumpkin for me. My wife seems to enjoy it.

Dec 14, 2007 Aroma is light malt with a bit of sweetness and spice; color is copper; light amber, disappearing head; flavor has a clear pumpkin note; spices are not as prominent as one would expect from the aroma; thin feel, lively; nice, but not stellar.

Nov 25, 2007 I wanted to try this since it was one of the first to do the style, now I realize I don’t need to have it again. Pours clear amber with a fluffy beige head. The aroma has lots of cinnamon and cloves along with pepper and squash. Medium / light body with some semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with spice and light maltiness. The finish brings sharp astringency, sour squash, off-spices and spoiled apples. Yuck.

Nov 24, 2007 Sampled from a 12 oz. bottle. Poured mostly clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma was mostly the spices (cloves, et al.) with some malts present as well. The flavor was mostly spicey, with some semi sweet malt and perhaps pumpkin. This was my second attempt at a pumpkin beer and I’m thinking that its just not my style. The aroma of theis one was less offensive than the first.
