Sep 16, 2007 Pours a, well, pumpkin color with a half inch head. The head audibly fizzes and quickly disappears completely. A counter clockwise spin is left when the effervescence is gone. What is left is mostly flat. Aroma is nutmeg as is the flavor. Some pumpkin can be found in both and lots of spice in the flavor.

Sep 15, 2007 bottle... poured a hazy orange with a thin head. Spicy, cinnamon and pumpkin aromas. Really fizzy palate and you can really taste the pumpkin pie-ish flavors. This was a really unexpected treat, giving that their cream ale that I had was terrible.

Sep 15, 2007 Pretty plaing-looking in the glass, especially compared to other pumpkin ales. Definite pumpkin on the nose, along with gras, wheat, and light spicing. More spices, clove, coriander, and nutmeg, on the tongue. Rough palate and light finish make this taste suspiciously homebrewish.

Sep 14, 2007 A decent pumpkin ale. Aroma was fantastic. Heavy pumpkin, nutmeg and other spices abound. Pour was a nice dark orange with a one finger off white head that leaves quickly. Taste was a little thin and watery. Pumpkin, spices and citrus initially, but it tapers off to nothing. Shame. With an aroma like that I was expecting a lot better.

Sep 13, 2007 Dark orange color with no head. Filled with spice- cinnamon, allspice, strong nutmeg, clove. Slightly citrusy with flavors of lemon and orange peel. Pumkin taste more than evident, and slightly on the strong side. Really, the beer is a little rough on the palate. A poor mixture of carbonation and spice. Not a big fan of this beer. I’ll take a slice of pumkin pie over this stuff any day...

Sep 12, 2007 Pours clear and tan. Large, fluffy, white head. Aroma is mildly citrusy and spicy. Mouth feel is moderate. Flavor is very cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Very clean finish.

Sep 11, 2007 Oct. 2005 - Ack. I didn’t like this at all. To be honest, I don’t even remember what it looked like, because as soon as I poured it, I caught a whiff of overwhelming spice. Maybe that means I should rank aroma high...but I wasn’t fond of it. Anyway, I am not the biggest fan of spiced beers, but this was undrinkable for me...just too strong, and I don’t know what that one overwhelming spice was, but it wasn’t pleasant. This beer should be the poster-boy for German Purity Laws. Nasty.

Sep 11, 2007 12 oz bottle. It’s got a nice aroma and flavor to it, but really nothing special. I’ve been drinking a lot of pumpkin beers lately and they all taste the same. Rather than going into detail, I’m just going to say that it’s like the others, and I probably would not buy it again.
