Aroma of caramel malt with spices, lightened by a citrus hop bouquet. Spice forward, vegetal flavor; well balanced. Body a bit thin. Pretty good finish. unclemattie (2415), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Oct 27, 2006 A gift from IrishBoy. Pumpkin colored ale, with a gentle white head. Smells just like a pumpkin pie. You know, What you’d expect from a "pumpkin ale". Scents of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove. Flavor is a bit like a slice of P-pie. A little acidic, but seems to balance with the malt. This is more of a spice, flavored ale than an Vegetable Brew. There is a very nice balance, although it steers more toward the spice. How bout some pie?- Ned Jarrett bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 27, 2006 Bottle. Rich amber beer with a big off-white head. Big pumpkin-pie spice aroma with some backing malt. Astringent malts and pumpkin pie spice flavors. Lighter bodied. Lingering nutmeg, cinnamon, etc skoisirius (574), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 23, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a off-orange color with a small white head. Smells of nutmeggy pumpkin patches. The flavor first brings a mild sensation of ripe pumpkins to the palate, which then moves into a soft cinnamon and nutmeg spice taste while still being backed by the pumpkin. Ripe, ripe, ripe is really what comes to mind. Thin bodied, no complexity. Not the best pumpkin brew out there, but if you’re in a bind and you need one, it’ll do the trick. thomasacross (129), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 21, 2006 Bottle. Poured pumpkin orange with little head. Nice pumpkin/spice aroma. Tastes very strong of pumpkin and spice. Look, this is a good pumpkin-flavored alcoholic beverage, but it doesn’t really have any classic beer-characteristics so it’s not much of an "ale." This is the sort of thing my wife, who hates beer, would drink (she even said so). StephenWade (28), Hoover, Alabama, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Oct 21, 2006 Bottle. Appearance: Medium caramel color with medium opacity, almost no head with a good pour. The smell is slight, with hints of nutmeg. Smell slightly like a dentist office. Taste: ewww! I hardly ever have a beer that I don’t like but, this would be one of them. Probably just not my cup of tea. Real mediciney taste, too much fizz, and, well just bad. rdelljh (122), Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 20, 2006 One can smell the cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and subtle pumpkin flavor. There is a slight taste pumpkin pie but with a slight bitter dry finish. I would enjoy a little stronger spice. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2006 This beer starts out so much better than it finishes. Pours to a copper color with white head that dissipates quicklly to leave nothing. Wonderful aroma of spices, mostly cinnamon and nutmeg, with a touch of clove. Upon initial sips, the flavor follows the aroma. Very quickly, however, this taste is offset by the watery finish and bitter pumpkin aftertaste. No alcohol makes itself known, so the final result is a less than memorable end to a beer that started out so promising.
