Bottle. Poured pumpkin orange with little head. Nice pumpkin/spice aroma. Tastes very strong of pumpkin and spice. Look, this is a good pumpkin-flavored alcoholic beverage, but it doesn’t really have any classic beer-characteristics so it’s not much of an "ale." This is the sort of thing my wife, who hates beer, would drink (she even said so).

Bottle. Appearance: Medium caramel color with medium opacity, almost no head with a good pour. The smell is slight, with hints of nutmeg. Smell slightly like a dentist office. Taste: ewww! I hardly ever have a beer that I don’t like but, this would be one of them. Probably just not my cup of tea. Real mediciney taste, too much fizz, and, well just bad.

One can smell the cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and subtle pumpkin flavor. There is a slight taste pumpkin pie but with a slight bitter dry finish. I would enjoy a little stronger spice.

This beer starts out so much better than it finishes. Pours to a copper color with white head that dissipates quicklly to leave nothing. Wonderful aroma of spices, mostly cinnamon and nutmeg, with a touch of clove. Upon initial sips, the flavor follows the aroma. Very quickly, however, this taste is offset by the watery finish and bitter pumpkin aftertaste. No alcohol makes itself known, so the final result is a less than memorable end to a beer that started out so promising.

Pours a honey/amber color under a large, white head that dissipates fully. The nose finds a higher concentration of spices than I’ve found in others of this style lately. Clove essence is dry and powerful with nutmeg running a close second. There is a thick, nutty base to the flavor to support all that pleasant spicing... and hearty pumpkin flesh is detectable under it all. Delicate effervescene intensifies the spiciness while a spritz of alcohol helps to clean it up. By no means is this an "everyday beer", but I certainly feel it may be the best of its genre.

Huge pumpkin spice aroma with nutmeg, somewhat disappointing head. Much more watery than I would have expected, big spice finish but more cinnamon than pumpkin on the palate. Fun for a six-pack in October but that’s about it.

light amber with a small disappearing white head. big pumpkin pie spice aroma with a hint of pumpkin. flavor sweet malty pumpkin with a hint of spice. spice really kicks in on the finish. light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. this would be my favorite pumpkin ale available in this area.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, and a little malt. Nice scent. Poured dark amber/orange in color with small, off-white head that diminished very quickly. Hazy and sparkling. Tastes of pumpkin, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. A little musty initially, but nice spice finish. Lots of clove. Light body. Thin, watery texture. Soft carbonation. Overall, not that good. Tastes like a pumpkin cider rather than a beer.
