Heavy spice aroma, cloves, all-spice and something strange. Pretty flat brew, smooth, very clove taste with notes of pear and apple. No pumpkin detected here. Don’t think I can finish this one. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Bottled. Pours a clear orange amber with a fading white head. Pumpkin pie spiced aroma. Light body, medium carbonation. A bit of pumkin in the taste with cinnamon, cloves and the other requisite pumkin spices building to the dry finish. An interesting change of pace, but probably good that it’s only available once a year. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2006 bottle. Aroma: A pleasant spiciness with the recquisite nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger. A strong pumpkin presence, as well. Some light malt aroma. Appearance: Light orange in color and clear. Off white head was medium and fomay, with decent retention. Flavor: Medium spiciness, decent pumpkin flavor, and unfortunatly a touch of band-aid. Palate: Light bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: Another spice forward pumpkin brew. Not bad, except for the band-aid flavor. Maybe the pumpkin beers will be better next year? jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 4, 2006 Bottle: Light, copper color. Very transparent with a decent off-white head. Aroma is spicey, lots of clove. Taste is a sweet pumpkin taste with a finish of spices. Clove, cinnamon, ginger, and brown sugar are clearly present. A bit like drinking potpurri. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 4, 2006 A copper color with a small head. The aroma is pumpkin of course as well as some caramel, and a butt load of ginger. The flavor is pumpkin pie, cinnamon, ginger, and brown sugar. The palate is a little weak on this one. I dont really like pumpkins anyway but this was not the best effort in the way of pumpkin ales. It was decent. talon1117 (631), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Pours clear and orangey-amber with a small, white, fizzy head that has little lasting ability. Nose is heavily spiced with clove and ginger, that is all. Flavor does not get better, so much spice up front; ginger and cloves dominate and small notes pumpkin and brown sugar. Palate is thin, fizzy, and crisp. Finishes short and spicy. Not really unpleasant, but too much emphasis on spices and really nothing else of substance. Not undrinkable, but not worth your time.
