| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 5, 2009 Pours a clear, pale amber with an almost nonexistent fizzy white head. Aroma is nutmeg, a little cinnamon, pumkin, cloves (seems a little heavy on cloves), a little black tea and lemon. Flavor is nutmeg, cloves (again, more than I would like), a little pumpkin, cinnamon comes out toward the end with some grainy and mineral notes. Palate is on the thin side, with a not so active, but very sharp carbonation, off dry throughout. Not a terrible beer, but too heavy on the cloves and light on the body and pumpkin to be all that enjoyable for a pumpkin beer.

pours a hazy shade of burnt orange-ish yellow with a scant white head.
lots of dust and spice make it smell very hefe-like... orange, lemon, dust, florals, cinnamon and co2 play roles as well.
the flavor is pretty much the same. it lacks any real pumpkin character and finishes lemony acidic.
it is medium bodied though the acidity thins it out. 5/3/5/3/12/2.8 DonKi11uminati (52), , Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2009 I havn’t tasted many pumpkin beers that I’ve liked a whole lot, but this one is actually decent. The aroma and flavor are pleasant with a nice mixture of spices and nutmeg. This pumpkin ale is more understated than others, thankfully. It’s quite drinkable but only the balance really stands out. italianjohn (388), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Cinnamon-heavy in both scent and taste. Cloves and nutmeg creep in, more in flavor than aroma.
Smooth drinking, medium-low carbonation. bobman006 (75), New Jersey, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 9, 2009 Bottle. Clear orange gold with small receding/disappearing head. Aroma is herbal with cinnamon. Flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, and clove. Watery with sparkling carbonation. Very disappointing. coldmeat23 (233), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Nice, solid amber color. Good, large foamy head. Sadly it dissipates fairly quickly. Lacing is minimal, at best.
Big cinnamon presence in this one. Nutmeg and cloves are in there, too. A little bit of malty sweetness. Oh, yeah, and some pumpkin smell here, too.
Nice blending of flavors, here. Nothing overpowers anything else, creating a good balance.
Good pumpkin flavor. Throw in the same spices from the smell, but the cinnamon is not so dominant, here. A little bit of sweet maltiness on the backend.
Good medium body in this one. Nice level of creaminess.
Here’s one that I will drink again, when I have the opportunity. ROGUE (700), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 11, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy light orange color with a puffy white head. Spicy, sweet, cinnamony aroma. Flavor of malt, quite a bit of pumpkin and spice, finishing with a touch of hops bitterness. blkitson (137), Westerville, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Pours a very murky brown with absolutely no head. The smell is really quite nice - a lot of cloves. When tasty, the clove almost over dominates the flavor of the ale and I think that there is really quite a bitter aftertaste.
