ross (1562), charlotte, North Carolina, USA Apr 8, 2008 Cleaned out my fridge just a few minutes ago. I think this has been in there for years. No idea who sent this to me. (Sorry!). Figured I would rate it. (This one is for you Daniel; I am like a clock! ) haha. Anyway, oranage color with a little bit of a head. Spices, cinnamon, uh.......yeah pumpkin pie? No thanks. I really dont like these beers, now sure why I have this one. I think its about 3 years old.
502Flavors (276), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 10, 2008 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Weak pale ale light golden color (with just a hint of a copper hue) with fat carbonation bubbles on the side and bottom of the glass. The only redeeming quality of the appearance is the great fluffy long lasting white head. Aroma is actually pretty descent - some pale malt with a nice pumpkin quality (not overwhelming or syrupy - subtlety spicy and nice). Flavor is WACK and off like crazy. Tastes like an old old old pale lager (or maybe malt liquor) with a very light pumpkin and spice hint (just enough to make this totally out of balance). Lots of corn character. The more I drink, I am getting a hint of hops, which confuses the whole flavor even more. Also, the more I drink, the more drinkable it gets, but it still sin;t good. Light with medium carbonation on the palate. Overall: If you like pumpkin, the aroma will tease you enough to surly disappoint you with the flavor. Splurge and get a bomber of Southern Tier pumKing (if you can find it... if not trade for it). Trdnuggets (8), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA does not count Oct 8, 2008 Color is amber, orange with the smell of Pumpkin spice, just as advertized. You can defiantly taste the pumpkin spice, and maybe a bit of ginger. Not an overpowering flavor, I didn’t mind it. smith4498 (384), Miami, Florida, USA Oct 7, 2008 Pours clear amber with off white head. Smells like pumpkin pie. Flavors of pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg). Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Uaru02 (14), Simpsonville, Kentucky, USA Oct 5, 2008 Decent. Certainly a novelty beer, but worth trying. For flavor, there is a lot going on, it’s full of flavor. Great aroma for Fall time, could be too strong in the heat of Summer. Highly carbonated with absolutely no head. Overall, too spicey to drink more than one or so, but a great conversation beer. KnN (311), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Oct 5, 2008 Looks smells and tastes like liquid pumpkin pie. Pretty good for a pumpkin ale which can be an extremely hit or miss style. Warm this puppy up, throw a dollop of whipped cream on top and call it Thanksgiving.
