Feb 18, 2009 Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a slightly reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a slightly sweetish malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints.

Jan 3, 2009 On tap at brewpub. Color was a fairly dark orange or amber with a white head. Aroma was the quintessential red malt aroma, caramel and bread. Flavor was very malty and easy to drink. A good amount of earthy bitterness in the finish. solid.

Nov 18, 2007 Tap: Clear copper/red color with not much head. It has kind of a funky hop aroma as well as taste. The aftertaste is tinny and the whole flavor and aftertaste hang out for a while in the back of you throat. I liked that part.

Jul 21, 2006 On tap @ Buffalo Bills poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, carmel, toffee and light citrus. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of toffee, carmel and a hint of orange with a smooth finish.

Dec 12, 2004 Tap. German hooped style ale, hazy reddish copper cloured. The hops became floral, yet restrained in the end. Good balnced body.(June 2004).
