On tap at the Brewpub. Perhaps this year’s batch is better than last year’s, because I thought it was quite good. Simple, amber color with fast-fading white head. Malty, a little nutty, a little spicy, a little fruity smell and taste. Nothing like exceptional, but goes down easy and smooth. Not bad.

On tap at Brewpub.
Appearance: light amber with creamy white top. 3+
Aroma: Light, slightly plane malty nose, slight nutty character. 6-.
Flavour/Palate: medium, smooth bodied. Malty bottom with strong hazelnut feel. Woody with bitter green finish. Quiet good Okto. Stylistically solid sample.

9/24/08 - Draft Sample at Brewpub. Pours amber/orange with white head and decent lacing. Malty nose. Taste is caramel and mild chocolate and even mild roast. Creamy mouth feel, mild hop characterand grassy notes. Crisp ending

Mild malt aroma. Flavor is kind of malty, light caramel, a bit toasty. Lighter bodied but not exactly watery. Missing that nice smooth, full character of any decent Oktoberfest bier.

Odd aroma - butter & wallpaper paste. Flavor is slightly hoppy, dirty red malt. Meh. Could be richer. Sweetish finish.

Clear amber w/ light tan foam. Sweet malty flavour w/ bread & caramel notes. Thin, somewhat watery feel. Sweet, malt extract flavour

Tasted at Buffalo Brewfest: A typical octoberfest. Nothing special, nothing bad. I was running out of steam at this point.

On tap. Golden body, small white head, hoppy nose for the style. While this was a reasonably pleasant brew (unlike some of their others, which are often syrupy and flat), it doesn't fit the style very well; not particularly malty or toasty.
