Perhaps this year’s batch is better than last year’s, because I thought it was quite good. Simple, amber color with fast-fading white head. Malty, a little nutty, a little spicy, a little fruity smell and taste. Nothing like exceptional, but goes down easy and smooth. Not bad. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2004 Mild malt aroma. Flavor is kind of malty, light caramel, a bit toasty. Lighter bodied but not exactly watery. Missing that nice smooth, full character of any decent Oktoberfest bier. rudolf (1783), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2003 On tap. Golden body, small white head, hoppy nose for the style. While this was a reasonably pleasant brew (unlike some of their others, which are often syrupy and flat), it doesn't fit the style very well; not particularly malty or toasty.
