| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Hazy golden yellow coloring with a small fizzy head. Not picking up very much spice in the nose, but the malt body is a little grainy with a touch of heat in the finish. Then it sneaks up on you. I actually was about to question the bartender when it hit me, it takes a couple of seconds and then the heat and spice hit you in the finish. Then it becomes a whole different beer. It is actually kind of refreshing and fun to drink, because the chilis are not overpowering in the slightest. This would be a great beer to food pair with. kwoeltje (1331), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Well, I’ll be honest, I’m rating from a sample (you don’t expect me to down an entire pint of a a strange style like this? Well, perhaps I will someday because I actually liked this. upfront, it is a nice delicate golden beer with a nice burn at the finish. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2008 This is easily the best chili beer I’ve tried. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma is quite light and I don’t get much, but what is there comes off like a blond ale. The body is light and crisp with sharp carbonation that is very appropriate for the style. The flavor starts like a very nice clean blond ale, then some nectar fruits come through. The finish is when the chili peppers show and they some to be joined by some spicy hops as well. While I wouldn’t want to have too much of this I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this and will probably have it again in the future. MrRain (436), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Draft at the brewery in a tumbler. CB pours light yellow, almost Gatorade green. the nose is light but clean. There is light lacing and a small head. The taste is at odds with itself. It is sweet but has a pepper bitterness. Although this is better than most pepper beers it still misses the mark. The finish has a hot pepper spiciness that I just don’t like in beer.
