Arrived to the table a cloudy orange with a pretty small head. Aroma had a slight orange/lemon citrus note, slight coriander, wheat and a hefty yeast presence at the end. Flavor has an orange and wheat note first with some a modest yeasty presence afterword. Very heavy feeling with a slightly creamy texture due to the huge amount of yeast in there. Overall a very good hefe with an overall sweet note. Props to them for keeping the yeast high as most brewpubs tend to favor the more conservative side when retaining yeast within their hefes, it definitely made this brew.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. A golden beer that is cloudy and just a bit dirty looking. Aroma is clove with a hint of bubble gum. Flavor is pretty much the same. There is a mild bitterness. Mild effervescence. An interesting hefe. Enjoyed.

On tap at Buffalo Brewing Co. Cloudy banana yellow with a large white head. Aroma of banana, cream of tartar, clove, yeast and lemon. Taste of banana, lemon and yeast. Medium palate with a semi-spicy yeast finish

Called weech. Banana cloudy yellow thin film head is retained. Aroma is peachy. Flavor is like good sweet sugary wheat malt and peach flavor-aid. Palate is a mixed bag between refreshment and being too salty. Carbonation is average.

LIghtly golden in color with a sweet honey nose followed by a spicy noble hop aroma. Nice! Has a bit of banana fruitiness with a semi-sweet cereal maltiness. Light and quite drinkable. I would order this again.

(draught) hazy pale yellow with white head. Little aroma with a hint of banana. Flavor was mild with vanilla and wheat, a little banana.

Poured hazy yellow / orange with a white head. The aroma has some rich wheatiness, but leaves the banana aspects behind. Medium body with soft carbonation that is quite pleasing. The taste starts off with citric flavors, lots of smoothness and some richness. The finish has the slightest hint of banana esters, but not much. The finish mainly shows some hops that don’t normal show in this style. I wouldn’t say this is complex tasting at all, but I enjoyed it.

Tasted 4/10/08. Sampler from the brewpub. Hazy with a golden yellow hue. White webbed head. Tart and bitter palate. Acidic and peppery. Crisp with citrus esters. Tasty.
