Commercial Description:
This Amber ale has is light amber in color, with a nutty malt character and a nice clean light hop finish. The beer starts with a nose that is a combination of toasted malt and fresh hop character. The malt carries through the entire flavor to the crisp finish. Buffalo Tap Room Amber Ale has enough flavor to stand up to the biggest of foods but is light enough to be an easy drinking staple. Brewed with Pale Ale, Cara Vienna, Munich and Chocolate Malts with Magnum and Liberty Hops. Original Gravity 1.053.

I think this is one of the beers for the masses at the tap room. It is not a rich in flavor as you might expect from an amber ale. It is lightly carbonated with a thin white head. There is a light malty, nutty aroma. The taste is balanced towards malty sweet and the amber has very low bitterness. Another beer where nothing is wrong with it, it tastes good, just nothing to make it stand above the rest.

Tap: Got a growler of this over the weekend. Pours to a light amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma: malt, nut, slightest hint of bitter hops. I’ve tasted better amber ales though. There’s some nice malt taste, maybe a little bitterness as well but just does not have very pronounced flavors. Light body and easy carbonation make this easy to drink. Seems to be a standard Amber Ale, lacking some aroma and flavor almost as if it’s watered down.
