Golden coloured beer with some pale malt. Hoppy finish. Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 26, 2005 [Cask at GBBF 2004] An orange beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is lovely fruity combined with notes of caramel. The flavor contains loads of flowery hops, but also a little metal. A nice mild IPA. Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Aug 9, 2004 GBBF, London, hand pump. Sampled with chris_o. Very tasty beer: dry, hoppy, crisp, with some juicy fruit mixed in. Lovely stuff and in hindsight, may well have been one of my favourite beers of the fest. Spiesy (2331), Global Citizen, Greater London, England Feb 28, 2004 Cask Conditioned, at the Oakdale Arms, North London. Golden with a thin white head. Some distant hop aroma that you have to go searching a for to find. Judging from imdownthepubs stronger rendition of the beer, I think we may have caught this beer towards the end of its best. The bite, crispness and freshness had all but gone. But no complaints any pub that has 20 casks racked up and on the pour in their back room is good by me. chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Feb 26, 2004 Updated: Sep 14, 2004I found this a little disappointing, perhaps because I expect anything with India in the name to have a big hop rush. However, the hop aroma was faint at best and the flavours were rather dusty and dull, with insufficient bite to excite. Nothing wrong with this, just not terribly exciting. Cask, Oakdale Arms. London. (2.9).
RE-RATE at GBBF 2004. Definitely a lot more sprightly, zesty and vigorous, with a big hop rush. Previous rating discarded - probably past its best.
