Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Currently known as Norwegian Blue, previously Pollys Extra Folly.
The flavours in this rich and satisfying pint are similar to those found in Polly's Folly, but have extra depth combined with added caramel notes.
For Norwegian Blue 4.9 abv, the same quality Maris Otter malts are used, whilst the wort is flavoured with premium American Mounthood hops. English Fuggles and Goldings hops provide the balancing bitterness in this malty complex best bitter.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thick cream colored head. The aroma is sweet maty with notes of caramel and flowers. The flavor is sweet malty combined with floral hop notes and some fruit, leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish.

A Mes rate: Cask at The Crown.
Golden brown with a good white head and lace. Pleasant nutty malt and floral hop aroma. Run of the mill hoppy bitter in the mouth with an uneventful finish. Balances well but just nothing to give it any interest.

Cask/GBBF. Amber with a small but lasting off-white head. Grassy aroma with cabbage notes. Dry and quite bitter. The aroma is reeally a turn-off. I love the name though. Makes me pine for the fiords.
