Sully (1363), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia May 16, 2005 It’s great when you find some of the old nots lying round. This was tasted at NFOB04 in Brisbane. Winkle and I were wandering arround a fair bit toether trying the odd beer. This is a well presented ber with good head and malty aroma. Fine caramello swetness and some good hoppy presence. I wanted to give this another go and had it again in the pavilion. Once again a good interpretation of an alt. AlphaOne (142), Australia Nov 12, 2004 NFOB 04, Darkish amber, nice smooth creamy head. The aroma is very malty, grainy bready caramel, also some nice hoppiness detected. Nice toasty maltyness, some fruit and a herbacious hoppy bitterness. winkle (440), Brisbane, Australia Sep 17, 2004 NFOB 2004. Well the hefe was crap but this sure isn’t. I’m not well versed on alts but this one was very nice. Looked great, amber colour even left some lacing on a plastic cup. Caramel malt flavour with a medium body and creamy mouthfeel. Light bitter finish. Nemo (100), Fremantle, Australia Jun 26, 2004 Copper colouring with a small sized head. Fruity, floral aroma. Malty, chocolatey, fruity-sweet taste. Betty (221), Walgett, NSW, Australia Nov 26, 2003 Some museli slice. Pineapple and Kiwi fruit tastes. Some under emphasised german hops? OK.
