On tap at the brewpub this was served in a chalice and was a amber-red color. The smell was faint but a little spicy. The taste was minty and leathery which I did not care for. This was not one of the better Saisons I have had. Oh well, it was worth a try. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 06-18-2007 16:30:39

On tap at B&B. Goblet. Clear, filtered and no head. Nose is very mild and just a bit funky-not much nose. Taste comes off very mild with a small bit of horseblanket/funkiness that would be expected in this style. Very carbonated. OK and drinkable but not quite to style. Addendum: "local 70’s dude" got pissed off at me because I took "his" seat at the bar. Of course he tells me this when he/she is leaving. The queen has spoken and welcome back-from the 70’s. Ass-wipe.

tap at the brewpub. nice tan pour and a lasting eggshell gray head. rubber nose with a mint like scent that is hard for me to describe. soapy flavor(like the handsoap in bullzeye’s house smells) reminds me a bit of some some herbal tea and cough drops. a bit of lingering strawberry to this.

Draught at the brewery. Pours clear amber with a small fizzy light brown head, somewhat lasting, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, cookie, straw), average hops (grass), average yeast (leaves) with notes of clove, brown sugar and nutmeg. Light bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness; nice spiced earthy yeast and straw malt flavor.

Draught at the brewery. Head is fully diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with notes of clove, nutmeg, tea, sassafras. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Aroma seems to hint at good things, but this one never just never really materializes.

Wow. This was delicious. Soft aroma, that turns vicious, lots of rich spices, intermingled with hints of baked fruits and cinnamon. Flavor is light to medium bodied, with a nice mellow acidity, that really manges to keep your palate interested wondering what flavors will come out on the next sip. Caramel and toffee, with a rich bit of eucalyptus, peppermint and bit of spicy hops to round out the profile. Fineshes a little warm and sweet with the alcohol showing through with a strong lingering finish. Good stuff!

On tap @ Bull and Bush poured a hazy copper with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, spices, apple and a hint of brown sugar. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of light carmel, spices, faint bit of mint, with a crisp, lingering semi-sweet finish.
