waolsen (1218), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jul 14, 2007 tap. straw/copper with thin soapy head. smaller aroma. floral and citrus. one dimensional in aroma. fresh and crisp. herbal hops. a bit soapy natejgood (188), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 23, 2007 This beer pours a cloudy amber color that is a bit darker than many IPAs. The beer smells hoppy and maybe a little sweet. This coresponds with the flavor which has a fairly sharp hop character to it, but also has hints of sweetness and citrus fruit. A pretty good beer if you are looking for an IPA that has a strong hop taste but also a bit of a non-traditional flavor. Kevin (1917), Colorado, USA Mar 27, 2007 tap. lightly cloudy yellow body with a lasting white head. citrus and grapefruit nose. sugar sweet hop flavor that is mainly citrus. grapefruit lingers in the finish. a decently balanced beer. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Feb 21, 2007 Cask. Nothing spectacular, but solid. TheBeerGod (3136), Newport News, Virginia, USA Nov 5, 2006 Cask at Falling Rock. Hazed gold. Nose is strong hop notes (pine and citrus), sweet malts, and caramel. Nice! goldtwins (4078), Nesconset, New York, USA Oct 24, 2006 Cask @ Faliing Rock: Hazy orange copper color with an off-white head. Earthy and piney hop foward with some light notes of diacetyl. Very hoppy flavor and bitterness. Light on the malt. The dry finsih was very long and bitter. hopscotch (5437), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Oct 4, 2006 Cask... Pre-GABF ’06 at Falling Rock Tap House, Denver... Hazy golden ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Terrific retention. Notes of evergreen, grapefruit and mild toffee in the aroma. Medium bitter flavor. Medium-bodied and creamy with hardly any carbonation. Lengthy, tongue numbingly bitter finish. Not an overly bitter finish; the lupulin simply provides a pleasant Novocain effect on the tongue. chilehead (186), Laguna Niguel, California, USA Oct 3, 2006 Had on cask at falling rock during the GABF. Excellent IPA, medium bodied with light piney hop notes and a wonderful cask-ale texture. Cloudy straw pour with minimal head. One of my favorite ipa’s of the week.
