Thick, sweet monster Imperial Stout that will probably be best after being put down for a few years. Excellent aroma and flavor, tho a bit too sweet. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2006 Sampled at 4th Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Beer poured nearly opaque very dark brown with a small, light brown, creamy, mostly lasting head. The aroma was malty with moderate notes of roasted grain, caramel, cookie, molasses and chocolate syrup; moderate miscellaneous notes of vanilla, oak and burbon. The flavor was heavily sweet, lightly bitter with a long, lightly sweet, moderately bitter finish. The body was full, the texture was velvety and the carbonation was lively. ratman197 (3206), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2005 Props for the name? Very thick and sweet and hoppy - something I like! Thick, deep and robust, but still a little hot and biting in the finish. Smells of light chocolate, soft bourbon and some hazelnuts in the finish. This one saved me on imperial stouts at the GABF after drinking a few disasters. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 3, 2005 GABF ’05. Black body under a tan head. Bourbon notes in the roasty, typical imp. stout aroma. The flavor brings much stronger bourbon and chocolate malt but it’s stll kind of hot. Whatever. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2005 Huge malt sweetness with some fruity notes. Deep black with a solid mocha head. Massive malty thickness with some mild cocoa and fruit, but the feel is less like an Impy and more like a Black Barleywine. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
