This is very much leaning on the pale side, its mellow and lightly hoppy. Did I say light? Very light. A nice beer, very sessionable, but pretty boring. Cool pub though! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 18, 2008 Draft @ Falling Rock. Pours a light golden amber hue. Fairly retentive white tanned head. Nice blast of fresh hops off the aroma when swirled a bit. Lots of sweet appley malts up front getting hit with a very forward, yet balanced hop profile in the body and lingering through the finish. Fairly spicey for an IPA, its nice. Nice citrusy presence as well. Nothing out of the ordinary, but good stuff! Definitely worth a shot if you haven’t had a taste for yourself! shp555 (1683), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Draft at The Falling Rock in Denver. Poured a clear dark orange color. Head was tenacious and off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of grapefruity hops, distinct pear, and apricot. Slightly sweet up front with moderate hop bitterness that decreases in intensity, but lingers a bit even as it fades. Tasted of caramel, citrusty hops, burnt toffee, and especially pear. I imagine that a pear liqueur might taste a bit like this. The ever present pear put me off a bit, but this was a decent beer nonetheless.
