| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 21, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Very dark for an IPA with a deep walnut color and an off-white head with plenty of lacing. Complex fruity aroma, smooth medium body, and superbly balanced fruity and floral hop bouquet at the end. A really excellent IPA that I wish I could get in a bottle -- Bull & Bush is worth visiting for their beers but not the food. Braudog (3774), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Almost spicey and heavy-handed. If an orange was sour, it would taste like this. Wonderful brew with little aroma. DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England

This IPA has a nice soft and sweet hop aroma: flowers, watermelon, candy, some mint too. A smooth sweetness with well-balanced bitterness. Sufficiently carbonated. A nice IPA.
I’d like to try it closer to the source. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 20, 2006 Hand bottled from a growler by Alaskanwarren. Thanks! Slightly hazy pale amber with a skim of light tan head. Given the circumstances, a fine looking beer. Clean, perfumey hop aromas reach me before I put the glass to my nose to sniff. Flower garden in the morning, lemon zest, a bit of fresh sliced grapefruit. Clean, bracing bitterness, a bit of alcohol, but both nicely blended. Lightly fruity character that complements the hops. Soft palate. A classy, bright IPA. This seems really underrated to me, but I am noticing some of the low ratings seem to feel like it was a bit over-carbonated. In which case, maybe hand bottling actually improved this one! waolsen (1224), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 19, 2006 Cask Conditioned at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver. Extreme Hops Aroma. Pure White Creamy head with bubbles. Creamy Straw coloring. Creamy with light hops at first and then the hops hit very hard with dry, bitter aftertaste. I can taste the Hops in my breath.
