Draught at the brewery. Very light brown color, with a white head. Subtle, hop accented nose. Complex malt flavor providing hints of golden raisins, caramel, toffee and mild, citrusy hops. A mighty fine barley wine.

Tap @ the Brewpub. 2006 Vintage. Poured a clear copper brown color with an off-white head. Fruity aged malt. Sweet and sugary. Flavor of old fruit. The sweetness is short then dries out. Hoppy finish with a growing bitterness. Full bodied, smooth and warming.

On tap at the brewpub on 10/12/07: Transparent bright copper with a nicely-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and fresh grapefruity hops. Body starts with a light caramel malty sweetness and good citrusy bittering hops, but a little weak in the flavor although quite drinkable. A decent barleywine, but perhaps a little over-attenuated.

06 vintage, on tap 3-07 at the brewpub. dark amber pour, clingy orangish head. strawberry & light hint of cocoa nose. very sweet flavor, reminded me a lot of the strong ale with berry notes everywhere. light banana notes, not as buttery as some of the other brews from here. almost no hop presence i can taste in this, but it is a year old i guess.
