The beer is a ruddy orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with sweet caramel malt notes. Medium, clean body with flavors of piney hops, caramel, malt and also a touch a spice. The finish is hops and pine with a lingering bitterness left over. A slightly off-kilter IPA overall, but not in a bad way. Not bad. arrogantb (715), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2009 I had this beer on tap at the Bull and Bush last night. The appearance was the best part. It was such a bright orange it looked like light was being emitted. The smell was subdued hops. The taste was really balanced between malt and hops with none of the fruity notes I am used to in an IPA. The flavor was very good and the drinkability was excellent. Good stuff.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 9, 2009 On tap at Bull & Bush brewpub. Pours a clear rusty orange body with a nice off-white, creamy ring of a head that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma isn’t too bad. Nothing is in your face about it, but it has a pleasant amount of sweet caramel malts and light piney hops. Flavor is pretty solid. Nice balance and straightforward. Clean bready malts with lots of thick caramel. Moderate amount of citrus, light sharp piney hops that linger for a good amount of time. Palate is full and dry. Overall, a solid IPA for a quiet brewpub in Denver. Definitely my favorite offered by them. NachlamSie (1650), Tennessee, USA

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear red with a small ring of a head. The nose is hoppy enough and PNW leaning with distinctive grapefruit. I get more clean, bright citrus delivery in the flavor along with juicy malts, berries, and biscuits. the finish is dryish with emphasis on grapefruit. It’s a solid and clean beer which I kept coming back to on my return visits.
