Bottle. Hazy brown with a yellowed foam. Aromas are sweet malts with citrus. Quite yeasty with light hops. Flavours are toffee malts with some wheat. Earthy in its hops. Quite traditional.

Jun 4, 2006 Cask (gravity dispense), Cambridge Beer Festival, May 2006. A promising start from a new brewery. A solid amber/copper coloured bitter with a decent balance of light dry malt and earthy hop bitterness. Well made and satisfying.

May 25, 2006 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Cambridge BF. An amber brown coloured beer. The aroma is fruity with some good solid hop character. The taste has good bitterness and a good thick quaffable body. A very pleasant English bitter with good traditional hoppiness making it stand out from some of the sickly Summer English goldens.
