Commercial Description:
Bulldog is an award winning strong ale that was first brewed for the export market in 1947. The traditional recipe and maturing process of "warm conditioning" which takes place after fermentation, has been deliberately retained to preserve the strength and quality. The beer is dry hopped and the distinctive mellow flavour of Bulldog Strong Ale allowed to develop slowly.

Draught @ the James Joyce, Firenze. Pours amber, with off-white head that lasts. Aroma of sweet malts, and that with undertones of bitter fruit and caramel on the palate. Some character there, not bad.

Had this in Italy. Pours dark yellow with thin head. Mainly malt aroma and flavor. More flavor than the rest of the poop I had in Italy.

Draught, Kitsch, Firenze. €4 for a 250ml plastic cup. Is it because I is English? Everybody else seems to have got a glass. Bright, steadily fizzing gold with a tight collar and ornate lace. Sweetcorn, grass, slight banana aroma. Notes of burning plastic, grass, watery cake and marzipan, spiritous syrupy burn, some candy cigarettes, white sugar, big dunk of card. It burnsies. Quite harsh, a little fruity and cakey like a (rough) BW mingled with Special Brew. Drinkable, unrefined, tastes way over the ABV. Tough going towards the bottom of the cup, pretty glad I only had a piccola.

Colore rosso ramato, schiuma buona e tutto sommato persistente.Aroma mieloso e decisamente alcoolico.Sapore alcoolico(anche troppo peraltro)e erbaceo.Finale luppolato.Diciamo che ad essere generosi si può definire potabile. Anche se con lo strano abbinamento gastronomico di oggi(una fetta di cima con ratatouille di contorno)non mi è del tutto spiaciuta.

This stuff is all over central Italy. Thin palate. Low carbonation. A little sweet. Dark yellow, lots of malt, minimal roasted flavor. Easy enough to drink, and a nice change from the cheap lagers I was finding everywhere.

A clear light amber colored beer, with a light beige foamed head. The aroma is malty sweet with notes of fruit and caramel. The taste is bittersweet, with fruits, like apple. The aftertaste is a little bittersweet with some fruits.
