Commercial Description:
A very rich and malty ale with a deep, dark red color and full-bodied flavor. This beer is served from our hand pumps at around 45 degrees F to let the flavors of the malt express themselves in this Scottish classic.

Sampled on draft at the brewery. The beer poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is malty and lightly nutty. The flavor has nice roasted malts with a light hoppy undertone. The beer is sweeter than I would have expected. The finish is roasty.

Appears a hazy dark amber with a soapy beige head. Spotty lacing is left behind. Smell is mildly sweet with some smokey toffee and caramel. Taste is identical to the aromas. Mouthfeel is slightly gritty but not offensive with a mild alcohol presence. Not bad from the Bullfrog.

Cask... Poured a copper color with an off white head and light lacing on the glass. Liquor aroma of peat, smoke, light roast and sweetness. Sweet caramel malt taste, and light roast. Seemed more alcoholic than it actually is.
