Nov 6, 2005 Updated: Aug 26, 2007Sampled on draft at the brewery. The beer poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is malty and lightly nutty. The flavor has nice roasted malts with a light hoppy undertone. The beer is sweeter than I would have expected. The finish is roasty.

Oct 20, 2005 Appears a hazy dark amber with a soapy beige head. Spotty lacing is left behind.
Smell is mildly sweet with some smokey toffee and caramel.
Taste is identical to the aromas.
Mouthfeel is slightly gritty but not offensive with a mild alcohol presence. Not bad from the Bullfrog.

Oct 16, 2004 Cask... Poured a copper color with an off white head and light lacing on the glass. Liquor aroma of peat, smoke, light roast and sweetness. Sweet caramel malt taste, and light roast. Seemed more alcoholic than it actually is.
