Commercial Description:
This Bavarian wheat beer combines the flavors of banana, clove, bubblegum and citrus in a wonderfully refreshing summertime ale. No spices or fruits are actually used to create this beer, only barley malt, wheat malt Hallertau hops and a funky wheat beer yeast from the world's oldest brewery.

On draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy grayish gold with a frosty medium sized white head. Aroma of light sweetened spice, banana, bubble gum, cloves and wheat. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Another fine summer brew.

@dmacs UFC100 Gathering courtesy of Rich’s friend Ryan-growler- Thanks. Pours a dull hazy woody orange with a spritzy head that fades to almost nothing. Aroma is high phenolic yeastiness, clove spice , with vanilla, as it wamrs a bit more fruity esters come around- banana- ok thinning wheat and pale toasty malts. Flavor is light lemon zest, phenolic, ester, and a dulling limp wheat malt base, slight crackery and doughy- thins out a bit in the end.

Growler from Rich’s buddy, thanks Lions fan. Poured a mostly hazed orange body under an average sized creamy whiteish head. Aroma had lots of spices that was peppery with notes of corriander, cloves, wheat and a touch of over ripe bananas. Flavor was peppery and spicey with lots of corriander and cloves over a body of wheat grass. Body was suprisingly light and watery for how spicey this one tasted/smelled with average carbonation and a creamy finish. Overall a very solid hefe especially since this was a growler pour.

Draft, at Bullfrog Brewpub on 7/5/09. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a bit of a golden hue, topped with a small off white head. Aroma is predominantly wheat, with some spice and some banana. Flavor exhibits wheat, banana, and clove that I didn’t really pick up in the aroma. There was some soap in the finish as well. Not bad, but not as tasty as the other beers on tap that day.

On tap July 2008: Pours a cloudy golden orange with a stringy-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheat and some banana esters with good German yeastiness. Body starts fairly full with good sweetness and some authentic clove spice and a drier more bitter biscuity finish. Pretty drinkable and true to style.

Draft. Pours hazy gold with an off white head. The aroma is fruity, both banana and lemon, some spice. The flavor is fruity sweet and has a bit more spice than the aroma.

Draft at brewpub. Poured a hazy golden in color with a beige head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas, cloves, fruity esters, slightly sweet. Tastes of cloves, bananas, mild spices, fruity esters. Traditional Hefe that is quite nice and drinkable.
