The aroma has moderate barnyard funk and acidic vapours, herbal and earthy esters, hint of cherry fruit and pit. The taste starts very tart and minerally with a dry oaky and earthy undertone. A hint of vinegar along with some cherries and grapes. The mouth feel is puckery and tart, refreshing. Well done sour ale. Papsoe (14996), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Bottle at Madsberg tasting 2008. Pours muddy red-brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sour, lightly grainy. Raisins, plums. Medium carbonation, a bit weak mouthfeel. Flavour is tart, good dried raisins, some red currants, caramel. Quite vinious, which detracts a bit for me. So slightly out of balance, but still a rather good sour. KimJohansen (7049), Copenhagen V, Denmark
