Bottle received from Ken Weaver and shared at the 2008 Milwaukee area YeAH: Slightly murky amber brown hue with a small frothy head and minimal lace. The aroma has moderate barnyard funk and acidic vapours, herbal and earthy esters, hint of cherry fruit and pit. The taste starts very tart and minerally with a dry oaky and earthy undertone. A hint of vinegar along with some cherries and grapes. The mouth feel is puckery and tart, refreshing. Well done sour ale.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a rough, off-white head. Distinct tart aroma wit a distinct wodiness. Medium body with a heavy carbonation, solid acidity, wood and caramel accents. Dry, tart finish. Delicious. 291208

Bottle at Madsberg tasting 2008. Pours muddy red-brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sour, lightly grainy. Raisins, plums. Medium carbonation, a bit weak mouthfeel. Flavour is tart, good dried raisins, some red currants, caramel. Quite vinious, which detracts a bit for me. So slightly out of balance, but still a rather good sour.

Thanks to HopHead84 for this gem. 750ml bottle. Pours cloudy, dark red/amber with a moderate sized, off-white head, good lace. Smells acidic and vinegary with cherries and a bit of funk. Tastes about the same. Moderately sour. Nice balance between the fruit and sour and malts. Very nice.Medium body, good carbonation.
