Pours an amber brown body with a creamy khaki colored head with great retention. Vinous, amazing cabernet aroma, and wild yeasts and brett in this one. Flavor is a sweet but dry sharp cherry flavor with a complementary spice and woodiness to kick. Incredible beer. kkearn (1011), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Nice tart and musty aroma, with green apple, grape tannins, wild yeast, band-aid, spice, wood, and a little cherry. Flavor begins with wild yeast, which is complimented nicely by spice, grain, honey, lavender, red wine, and wood. Long-lasting tart finish. Another really nice offering from Bullfrog! Poured a deep reddish-brown color with a moderate beige head that slowly diminished to a thick layer. Tart, fruity (green apple and grape) aroma with some funky barnyard yeast with a bit of wine oak. Tart entry leads into a moderate fruitiness with hints of green apple, grape, cherry, and lemon lead into a funky yeastiness that is dried by the oak. Smooth, light carbonation offset by a great oak dryness. A really good, really surprising beer. Thanks for sharing Mike. Ernest (4501), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, light brown, mostly lasting.
Body is hazy medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, cookie), lightly to moderately yeasty (barnyard, cobwebs), with notes of cherry, wood, gum, clove, and band-aid.
Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Ridiculous label, but a serious beer. Quite tart, with a deliciously vibrant and varied aroma. Clean and well-balanced. The surprise of the evening. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Really complex nose that displays an array of oak wine barrel elements (dark red fruit, funk, toasted oak,) hints of cherries and funk. Flavor is incredibly delicious, with an elegant vinous-like character. Cherries, grapes, dark fruits, oak, vanilla, toast, funk. Unbelievable beer!

The aroma was both tart and sweet with some nice leathery funk. The flavor had a good sour taste and acidic balance. Mild honey notes. Light-medium body. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Pours a dark caramel brown, with a small creamy light tan head. The aroma is pretty tart, with a vanilla cream note, and malts as well. Kind of unusual and wasnt what I was expecting, although interesting. The flavor is more on the sour side, but wasnt an entire cheek puckerer. Unusually sour for a saison, but had other intricacies in there too. Its malt presence was stubbornly holding on to keep this a saison. Unusual, for oddly very enjoyable. Refreshingly interetsing take. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

Nose is very bretty with some bread, honey and oak. Flavor is very similar with a little bit of vanilla, honey, and definite funk. And this weekend was all about the funk. Great beers, great times!
