covering the beer and the glass walls. Meaty. Alcoholic and sparse. Bitter. Spices and phenols are coarse. Thin. The
body doesn’t hold up to the coarse alcohols and yeast products. The yeast comes across as flabby and a bit old. Just
not interesting or well made. Much inferior to the Beesting. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

Aroma of toasted dough, some honey, toffee, faint floral hops, some citrus fruits, and some coriander. Taste of earthy yeast, black pepper, some dough, citrus fruits, toffee malts, grass, herbs, and a dry, lightly alcoholic finish. swoopjones (1919), Buffalo, New York, USA

Pours a pulpy dark grapefruit; huge, creamy, textured off-white head with great retention and creamy lacing; gorgeous pour. Lots of toasty grains, dustiness, and peppery / grassy notes. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: grassy / herbal character upfront; white pepper, honey, and dry toasty maltiness; very dry and pepper-driven saison; just a touch too heavy overall. Lengthy finish: white pepper, honey, and some dry breadiness; nicely dry. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
