Aug 17, 2006 Sampled as "Saison" at State College BrewExpo. This cloudy pale amber beer had a slight wispy pale foamy head, a medium watery body and mild carbonation. It was listed as Saison at the festival, but I was told that it was really just a rename of the Farmhouse Ale. By aroma, there was some nice yeastiness and mild dusty grain notes. Taste was rougher than I had hoped for, but there was definitely a yeasty lemony component and light spices. In all, it was rather tangy, if not actually acidic.

Aug 22, 2004 Tap at Cooperstown. Clear pale yellow, white head. Citrus hoppy aroma. Flavor is light and crisp. A little hop and a little citrus. Decent brew.

Aug 1, 2003 Clear gold. Quite sweet, rather sugary. A bit musty. Very simple, but good.

Jul 27, 2003 (SCBE2003): Clear golden with small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange peel, cardemom. Taste is about the same, though not quite as sweet. Light medium body.
