So I’m here entering my backlog when I realize that I am both out of beer in my glass and about to enter my 2500th rating. I guess instead of drinking that random IPA I pulled out of the cellar I might as well grab something of meaning, I figure a nice local bottle is in order, andso here I am. Pours a clear dark gold with a small fizzy white head that faded quickly to a thin ring. The nose has a nice sweet-tart, almost Gueuze like aroma with some wood, brett, citrus rind, and light tropical fruits. Some pale malts as well and a touch of funky cheese. The flavor is quite funky and tart, but there’s not a real sour kick to this at all, it’s very soft and well rounded as far as that goes, it makes it really easy drinking. A good bit of brett and dry oak, especially on the finish. Some light lingering acetic notes. The mouth feel is dry and fairly crisp with a prickly fizzy carbonation level that keeps it feeling lively. Overall a pretty nice effort. The more I had though, there was a sweetness on the finish that got a bit tedious. yobdoog (1543), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

Tartness that sits well. Very solid smell. Taste is tart but with heavy flavors that fill out what’s there. A sour that I can relate to. Tart tingly finish. angrypirate06 (800), Texas, USA
