sound67 (157), Offenbach, Germany Oct 7, 2009 568ml bottle, brown. Deep golden yellow colour, next to no head but some lacing. Medium carbonation, oily(!) mouth feel. Aroma of fresh, citric apples and some booze. Medium-dry taste of ripe apples, again with a welcome citric note. It is not "sugary", as some people claim - clearly, people who have never tasted any other ciders before (ever tried Kopparberg?). Fruit and a slight citric bitterness are well-balanced, and the sour note lingers, as does the noticeable, but well-integrated alcohol. A real "session cider", if there is such a thing. Do not confuse with the Irish "Bulmers" cider, which is sold in England and internationally as "Magners" - this here is the original English Bulmers cider. Well, they’re all owned by Heineken anyway - but they don’t taste the same - Magners is sweeter! Very good "recreational" drink. PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Sep 12, 2009 Bottle. This is a golden peach colour. It has a mild, sweet aroma of fresh apples. Mouthfeel is crisp, bubbly on the tongue, medium in body. It tastes of sweet then slightly tart, fresh apple with a slight, lingering finish. Cole (266), , Alberta, Canada Aug 23, 2009 Pours golden yellow slight head. Sweet fruity aroma. Strong apple flavour, slightly alcoholic. Dry finish. Cider sucks. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Aug 19, 2009 It is a warm golden cider with a white head. The aroma has a light sweetness and acidity, it’s mild with notes of apple. The flavour has a light sweetness and it’s rather dry. It has notes of slightly sour apple, it’s mild and very uncomplicated. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 15, 2009 [2320-20090719] 568mL bottle. Fresh flower apples aroma. Clear, light pink yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet sugary yeast apples flavour. Medium body. Odd sugary apple but fair.
(w/ DuctTape, jerc) jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 23, 2009 2009-07-19. Crisp yellow body with white foam. Muted, mildly musty apples in the aroma. Flavour is mild, sweet apples, generic sweetness. Average to light bodied palate. Okay for a mainstream cider but its a bit dull. Bottle from LCBO
scotty (828), Scotland Jul 12, 2009 Bland example, little in the way of apples on the nose, sweet palate with a hint of fruit, finish is minimal. Actually bought for cooking....it was cheap!
