Pale golden colour, no head. Faint aroma of aniseed rather than pear. Medium carbonation, taste of ripe, sweet pear, but rather lightweight. Not as oppressively "floral" as some French ciders, this is actually a lean, very drinkable perry from one of England’s oldest makers of cider. Nice. turbothy (722), Bonn, Germany

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Draft. A light golden cider. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet with strong notes of pears, leading to a dry pear finish. MiP (9092), Sønderborg, Denmark
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Bottle, 4.5%. White wine aroma. Clear yellow colour, small white head, sparkling. The flavour is slightly citric, but also has a little sweetness. High carbonation. The flavour is not exactly of pear, but it is more rounded than a standard crap cider. hughie (3065), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Pale gold. Aroma is unexpectedly sour and astringent. Thin sweet taste. Yes, rather artificial with the sort of taste you get in fruit gums. Having said that, I drank it, all 568ml, and lived to tell the tale. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 25, 2008 Bottle (500ml). At The Lord Clyde (Borough). Light bright clear gold pour, minimal head, but good post-pour bubbling. Aroma of a cheap off-dry Reisling mixed with a pear candy. The taste is simpler - weak pear blended with a cheap white wine spritzer. Slight, think mouthfeel, a little sticky candy taste lingers - I didn’t hate it, but it got pretty cloying. jerc (3936), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sweet mild aroma of candied pears has a very light chemical note. Flavour is sweet, pleasant syrupy pear flavour, halfway between the juice in a can of pears and a pear flavoured candy. Gets sweeter as it goes on and more sugary. Average palate is a touch light. Not awful but I can’t imagine drinking the whole can with this level of sweetness. Can from Murty Rabbits, Galway.
