This is a really fresh tasting light lager. You can actually taste tangy hops balanced by fresh biscuity pale malt. No hint of adjuncts in the flavor, just a clean, balanced easy to drink light beer. This is an all new formulation for Burger Light (summer 2001) and the quality is vastly improved over the previous recipe. It’s a good light beer at any price but Burger is marketed as a budget brand and you won’t find a better value for a quality light beer.

Ok, the price was great. So I though it would have to be a beer slushy in order to get it down. Not so. It is as good a light beer as any national brand, and better than most. 1: it's clean, 2: it has a bit of actual beer flavor, and 3: it's not from one of the big three beer factories. Good enough for me!

I am rating this in terms of style and thus in comparison with other american lights, not in comparison with stronger, more flavorful beers. This being so, I find Burger Light to be an exceptional brew. Crisp clean palate, smooth refreshing flavor, great head (which is always nice), and without the sticky aftertaste that you might find in bud, busch and miller products. Only rated in the mid 20th percentile, but if you look at the rates for this style, it ranks as number one (i.e. the best American Light). It is certainly worthy of this distintion. Five dollars a 12pack makes it all the more loveable.

A refreshingly tasty light beer. Super smooth initial and middle flavors with a very slightly bitter finish. Will definitly buy again.

Overall it's not a bad beer. It's good on a hot day when the beer is cold. Still, better than Bud Light, Miller, or Coors.
