Very nice aroma of licorice, smoke, a lot of almonds, hops, candied fruit and raisin. Great taste which is complex and smoky. Low carbonation. Extremely drinkable and smooth. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. The beautiful hop profile really adds to this beer. A huge amount of almonds in the flavor too with accompanying hints of caramel, walnuts, licorice, dark chocolate. Not much lacework. Very long dry finish which is reminiscent of chocolate powder, almonds and walnuts. A fantastic beer! Thanks a lot Quack-Duck for this gem! jfb (427), Weihenstephan, Germany
