Fat/sugarish and alcoholic nose, with hints of butterscotch. The taste is strangely akward tart, like stones of cherry or something. Bit watery mouthfeel and the taste is dominated by an unbalanced alcoholic factor. A real gofer of a yeast-leftover in the bottle. TimE (1361), Tokyo, Japan
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2004 Dark brown color, light brown head. The nose exudes earthy chocolate notes, while the mouth has a winey fruitiness that is laden with chocolate. The wininess and fruit really come through. The moderately bitter winey chocolately finish is superb. This is my knida dopplebock. Ungstrup (15382), Frederiksberg, Denmark
