Cloudy amber colour, almost muddy. Big stable tan head. Good malty flavour with a hint of acid to balance. A little paper in the finish. Hint of spicy hops in the flavour. Quinten (955), zaandam, Netherlands Dec 3, 2008 At an trinkgut in koln germany 500ml bottle, heazy amber/golden, full head no lasting head, full flavor one, with hinds of fruits, spices, caramel, vanilla, very nice balance, ready fore the next one! Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Mar 1, 2008 Comes as Festbier. Thank you Masn/G2B.dk! It’s a hazy, orange-golden beer with a weak head. The aroma has notes of malt, citrus and a light sourness. The flavour is rather citrussy with notes of malt, apple and a light sweetness. Not too much "Fest" in this one :) henrikb (1298), Aarhus, Denmark Nov 21, 2007 Bottle (label reading Festbier) - Clear light amber body, not lasting yellowish head; Quite simple malty sugary honey nose; Light thin body, simple bitter sweet; Some length in a malty bitter finish, simple honey sweet sugary flower aroma. Not really interesting and no really well composed. joss (3632), Garching b. München, Germany Mar 15, 2007 Updated: Oct 26, 2009Bottle. Cloudy red amber, golden head. Bottles seem to be unstable. Honeyish malt and aromatic hops. Berrylike fruity flavor, light toast. Light to medium body, sparkly mouthfeel. Aromatic finish. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 9, 2007 Red, bit foxy beer, slight haze, with about no head left. Very strange nose, plywood, berries extract, medicinal. Awful, in fact. Very fast disappearing, short sweetish-sourish-fruity flavour. End a bit burning, but generally very lame. Slick, not even medium bodied. A bit old? It’s still before its given BBD. Anyway, not something I’d finish. All the same, thanks, Joss! MoritzF (4859), Bochum, Germany Feb 23, 2007 (bottle, with greetings to Jonas ;-) Hazy, amber colour with a mid-sized, unstable foamy light-beige head. Yeasty, toast-malty, slightly worty aroma with strong fruity notes of red berries, whis evokes also a slightly sour impression. Light-sweet, minimal-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty, slightly unripe taste with fruity esters; sweetish malty finish with a shy bitterness. Not particularly rounded beer with a discontenting maturation.
