Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, coffee, berry notes, blackberry, wood. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - smooth, carbonation is soft to flat. (130808)

Cask at Victoria Hotel, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. Very dark brown with a solid, creamy off white head. Faint malty aroma. Warm, rich malty taste, full of fibre and bread and dusty wrapping paper. Slight sweetness, presumably as a result of the blackberry juice. Some bitterness. Very good.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Black colour with lasting, frothy, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with coffee, milky chocolate and wild berries. Roasted, malty taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, wild berries and generous doses of cocoa bitterness in the finish. Fairly dry with lots of bitterness coming through towards the end, nicely balanced by the fruity blackberry flavours. Very nice beer.

Bottled. Tasting @ Kolding Bryglaug. Aroma has toffee malts and berry-fruityness. Black coloured beer with an off-white, lasting head. Taste is sweet, very fruity with some coffee bitterness. Dry finish. Somehow not my cup of tea.

Bottle @ thewolf-and-his-flock-of-sheep tasting session. Dark color, short head. Very fruity aroma of brambles, some roasted malt. Fruity taste, quite bitter as well. Hint of menthol?
