| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Cask. Fine white 2cm cover tops the clearish amber body. A straightforward, very very mineral bitter which imparts a certain salty bitterness to balance the caramelly, yet dry soft malts. Dry all throughout, tasty and tartish bitter. Fresh tasting and pleasant, but the saltiness was too much in nose. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England

Light amber beer, red hue, with everlasting head. A truly well balanced , refreshing bitter, with a smooth malty base, lightly caramalised then a peppery dry hop that lasts forever. Top notch beer. Pale brown in colour, clean in taste. Slight malt flavour (not as malty as the brewery's tasting notes suggest) with hops dominating. Quite bitter, with a long finish. Well made and easy drinking. An excellent bitter. Draught, Civil Service Recreation Centre, London SW1, June 2003 (but don't miss the brewery tap - the Burton Bridge Inn in Burton, which sells all the brewery's products - if you ever get the chance.
