I had no idea what to expect from this one but I was very pleased with my purchase. Pours a cloudy orange/amber with a huge white head. Aroma reminds me of cream sherry. The hops dominate the flavor with the warming effects of the alcohol poking through the bitter hop haze. Wonderful. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Called an ipa, for some reason it’s listed as a strong ale?? Any way. Pours a cloudy golden amber with the "head from hell" It lasts throughout rocky and bubbly like a clutch of fish eggs. Smells like a wet dog, you’d never know it was an ipa from the smell. Tastes great and drinks like a champ. Tart, bitter and has a strange complexity. Finishes well with just enough left behind in the palate to make you want more. With one of the wildest hop profiles this one is sure to please ’em all. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2005 Bottle actually claims that this is an IPA. Pours a medium orange color with a massive white head. Nose is surprisingly malt with a hint of spicy hops. Good bitter flavor with a strange bit of citrus that is unlike most American hop flavors. There is an inner sweetness to this beer that is constantly competing with the hops. Not really for the faint of heart. grat (433), ST. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 21, 2005 Mmmm...starngely good beer...strange. Pours a brilliant copper color. Fomay lace on top. Dissipates and coats. Honey in the nose. Flowers blossom around the edges. Very cotton candy smelling beer...in a good way. Slight simple syrup attack on the back end. Flavors explode in the mouth. Truly stunning. Sweet in the core, with an ever present battery acid bitterness that pushes this guy over the top. Excellent. Hop flowerspsuh to the rear and sides. I can’t tell if the finish is kind of oxidized or just a little rusty and sweet. Regardless the finish on this one goes...and goes...and goes...flowers for hours. Great beer.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2005 Poured this from it’s 50 cl bottle. It is a hazy orange body with an ultra dense offwhite fully lasting head. Kinda like a orange cream popsicle in appearance. The aroma is gingerbread cookies, cinnamon bubble gum, spicy hops. The flavor is spicy hops, tannic cask aged ale, sweet pear gingerbread. Medium body with a rich creamy head. Nice bitterness. Very strong hop oil, so much so that I had to knock this down a point. tjthresh (1782), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2005 Pours a hazy light copper orange with a massive off white lasting head. Sweet malt, cookies, cooked sugar, floral hops, and alcohol. Upfront bitterness. Sweet and spicy. A touch of an alcohol. Lingers, but its not annoying. Recommended.
