Bottle... Cloudy amber ale. A tall, monstrous, off-white thunderhead sits atop the brew. Great retention. Lemony, lightly floral, spiced apple nose. The flavor is spicy, alcoholic and quite bitter with (seemingly) no sense of purpose or direction. Although the alcohol really "bumps uglies" with the palate, the body is medium at best. Mostly watery and lightly creamy. Fizzy. Finishes bitter, alcoholic and dry. Glad I had the opportunity to try it. Won’t do it again.

Chunky, airy head. Strong, almost clove-like flavor. Slightly thin, but not disturbingly so. Finishes fairly bitter and dry.

Bottle at Firewater’s....Poured out a decent copper color with a very large foamy head. The aroma was somewhat floral with some bitter notes. The taste was decent, but nothing special for the style of beer, some floral notes mixed with bitterness and maybe some toffee?

The Lure:
A prolific head, fit for a chalice, covers citrusy, banana and orange esters. Earthy pine hop suggestions also emerge from the unfiltered, deep orange.

The Festivities:
Piney hops and oranges take advantage of the vibrant carbonation to launch themselves through the forceful dusty (Belgian?) yeast presence. You would have told me this was a new De Ranke beer and I would have believed you. Maybe a tad too yeasty for my tastes, even if the hops really do try and give it a strong counter bitterness.

Transcendence:
Being lost in the familiar is invigorating yet a tad puzzling obviously.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with no head. Sweet fruity light alcoholic aroma and taste. Medium body and a sweet alcoholic finish.

Hazy dark orange colored with a thin head. Sweet caramelly aroma with grassy hints. Rather cloying. Sharp fruity and herby flavor, tastes infected. Very bad....!

Rather dissapointing strong ale. Aroma has some fruity sweetness. Flavor is malty with a light bitterness.

Deep golden color with a white head. The taste is sweet and fruity but slight thin. Finishes light dry and bitter.
