Hazy pour of yellow-orange beer with an average sized white head. Bubblegum and honey in the aroma. Sweet malty flavor is sorely needing a dose of hops to bring it back into balance. There is some bitterness, but not to the degree expected of an IPA Typical of many British IPA’s produced today I’m afraid. Suttree (2734), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2004 Cloudy orange, big white head. Piney, clove aroma. Some hints of banana, and cinnamon before hops take over. Very peppery hop finish. Cool label, too. CaptainCougar (5517), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 11, 2004 Pours a clouded copper golden with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly sour and English hoppy. Body starts somewhat sour with an earthy hoppy bitterness and some candy-like malt flavors. Finishes dry and muddy with some lingering bitterness. Perhaps this beer would be better fresh out of a cask. Thanks to Shag for bringing this to the Georgia 14% gathering! duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 28, 2004 Bottle. pours like a cask ale or a pure lambic, absolutely no carbonation, looks like dirty water. This was probably like IPA’s used to be, very hoppy salty, bitter, yeasty and acidic, wierd country smell, smelly socks, orange rind, resin, floral hops. I really can’t remember having any beer like this, and definitely like no other IPA i’ve had before. Old, mouldy, blue cheese flavours, no mouthfeel, except for slight acidity and bitterness. Pretty wierd, not sure if i like it. walleye (879), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Pours a deep unfiltered amber with a huge rocky head with good lacing. Aromas of EKG and a lot of em. Some alcohol burn and a fair amount of bitterness offset by the diacetyl which is in fairly high levels. Way too much carbonation to. Not bad but not great either.
