Cask Stillage at the Mill At The Pier, Wigan 05/03/2004 Golden hoppy and creamy on the palate. Some dryness in a lasting malt finish.

Smooth, nutty, grainy beer which has the usual level of sulphur and bitterness for a Burton beer without having any great distinctiveness. A nice beer despite being a bit bland. (Cask @ Wigan beer festival)

Very golden as expected. Aromas are floral and buttery. Flavours are light caramel and butter with some floral hops. Nice long dry finish. Overall - light and a bit boring.

Chequers, Farningham Yellow colour. Thin foam head with wet, slipping lace. Not much happening here - a suggestion of caramel in aroma and flavour where it becomes a bit greasy. Some buttery tones. Palate is on the sweet side of neutral. Thin bodied. Some bitterness late in the finish.
